The author was born in Ada, Minnesota and grew up in Antioch, Illinois. She received a doctorate in Management Accounting from Columbia University. She has written nine books and numerous journal articles related to cost accounting and control under the moniker – CJ McNair. She is currently a Professor of Accounting at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. She has six grandchildren – in addition to Wil; there is Grace, Zachary, Aaron, Sydney and Angela. She resides in Noank, Connecticut with her husband George and Brady, their Labradoodle.
A Vermont native and Pratt Institute graduate, Lisa Adams has been creating art since she could hold a pencil. Manhattan based for 26 years, Adams recently relocated to the seaport town of Mystic, Connecticut. She is the author- illustrator of the Sterling Publishers’ book – The Twelve Days of Christmas in New York City. Lisa also illustrates teen book jackets for Random House, Penguin Books, Simon & Schuster, etc. Lisa’s art can be consistently spotted in mainstream magazines and the New York Times. Her creation of the babyGap Teddy bear – the store’s mascot since 1992 – has made a lot of kids smile!
