Crosswinds Press, Inc.
Crosswinds Press, Inc. is a boutique publishing house that emphasizes children’s picture books that have a moral or “life” lesson embedded in them. The books of interest to the Press target what has been identified as an underserved market segment of the $35.6 billion dollar children’s book industry: preschool through the third grade (i.e., early readers).
Crosswinds Press is organized as a virtual corporation which partners with other companies to perform many of the activities in the firm’s value chain. Crosswinds Press retains direct control over only those activities deemed to be its core competencies: acquisition and distribution.
The first series of books that have been signed by Crosswinds Press debuts in mid-October. Wil, Fitz and a Flea Named T is the first book in the series written by CJ Connolly and illustrated by Lisa Adams. The second book in the series, The Boomerang, is in illustration and pre-production with a scheduled release date of early December, 2009. Future titles obtained by Crosswinds Press in this series include: A Line in the Sand, The Lemonade Stand, Reflections, and The Bad Enchilada.
